Mrs. Wright believes that her true legacy lies within the promise and potential of her children, Elizabeth and Penelope. She is the wife to Dr. Sam Wright who practices dentistry in Bryant, Arkansas. Together, Heather and Sam live and work in the heart of downtown Little Rock, Arkansas, and central Arkansas.
Mrs. Wright is the president and owner of F&I Research Consulting LLC. She is a mentorship champion, department growth catalyst, is CITI-trained, and is a certified research specialist. She pursued her Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Psychology at Columbia College, and continued her education in psychology by Graduating with Distinction and earning a Master of Science (MS) in Psychology from Capella University. She is currently pursuing her PhD in Psychology with Capella University, and her focus is in the areas of transpersonal psychology, consciousness, self, sociology, public health, and epidemiology.
Upon completion of her MS, Mrs. Wright gained employment with Arkansas Children's Hospital's (ACH) Pediatric Otolaryngology & Head and Neck Surgery research team as the Research Department Manager. As a member of the Executive Research Team, she worked closely with the physicians from ACH and the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) to successfully advance the young research department into a mature and self-sufficient organization with responsible conduct of research and good clinical practice using a variety of research designs, models, and methods. As the Director of Student Research, she excelled in recruiting and mentoring medical students, as well as, Junior and Senior Investigators from within and outside of her department, Fellows, and Residents. She is a strategic program evaluator who implemented actionable research based on clinical phenomenon in order to develop formative and summative quality improvement outcomes for improving clinical practice and patient quality of life. She was noted for using her analytical strengths by delivering advanced inferential statistics to the research department, and she advanced research projects by writing and submitting grant proposals and manuscripts for publication in peer-reviewed journals.
Mrs. Wright demonstrated a passion for research excellence to ensure study participants and subjects were protected under the guidelines and regulations of HIPAA and the Code of Federal Regulations by working closely with the Institutional Review Board (IRB), the Office of Research Compliance (ORC), and the American Association for Laboratory Animal Science’s (AALAS) (2020) institutional animal care and use committee (IACUC), Department of Laboratory Animal Medicine (DLAM). She is currently pursuing her Advanced Certified Research Specialist training and the Society of Certified Research Associates (SOCRA) certification as a certified clinical research professional.
